Common questions

When should tax planning happen?
Before December 31, and ideally by mid-year for larger decisions. After year end, most options are gone.
Is planning worth it for a small business?
Often, once profit is consistent. A single decision like an S-corp election or the timing of a large purchase can outweigh the cost.
Do I need planning if you already do my books?
The books tell us what happened. Planning uses them to decide what happens next.
