Common questions

Do I need clean books before building a forecast?
Yes. A forecast starts from actual results, so if the books aren’t closed and reconciled, that comes first.
Is the model mine to keep?
Yes. It’s built in a spreadsheet you own and can use without me.
How often should a forecast be updated?
Monthly is typical, after the books close. Some businesses only need a quarterly update.
