Common questions

Are these audited or reviewed statements?
No. These are prepared statements supported by workpapers. If a lender requires a formal review or audit, the workpapers make that engagement faster and less expensive.
Why do workpapers matter if the statements look right?
Because a balance can look right and still be wrong. A workpaper proves what the number is made of, and it is the first thing a lender, auditor or buyer asks for.
How often should I get statements?
Monthly for most operating businesses. Quarterly can work for smaller or steadier ones.
